Ohio Laser has installed a third TRUMPF 12-kW L5030 flat sheet laser cutting system with a 3030 automated storage and retrieval system at its facility in Plain City, Ohio.
These machines offer nitrogen cutting of steel to 1/2 in. thick, aluminum to 1 in., and stainless steel to 1-1/2 in., as well as oxygen cutting of steel to 1-1/4 in. and copper to 3/8 in. thick. They are equipped with Active Speed Control, which adjusts the cutting parameters in real time to help maximize cutting speed and edge quality as material quality changes.
The company currently operates 13 fiber and CO2 tube lasers, eight fiber flat lasers, and 10 press brakes, all from TRUMPF, as well as robotic welding and other metal finishing and fabrication services for medium- to high-volume parts manufacturing for OEMs in a variety of industries.
